I, Patrick S. Edwards, CEO of "NOW WHAT" Edwards Family Foundation, am a licensed clinical therapist and a returning citizen. I hold a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Michigan. I am eager to work with this population because of my own personal experiences and struggles. I want others to realize that it is never too late to turn your life around. I earned both my degrees in my 50s post-incarceration, so I want to inspire others by showing that it's never too late to achieve success. The organization aims to assist returning citizens in understanding that reintegration is a continuous journey, not a final destination. It encourages them to stay focused and persistent and to be kind to one's self along the way.
Our team of dedicated professionals is committed to providing the highest quality of assistance and guidance to help our clients transition back into the community with confidence and dignity. Through our comprehensive range of services, we empower returning citizens to explore their options for the future and build a brighter tomorrow. If you're a returning citizen looking for support and a way forward, we're here for you.
Returning citizens may face emotional and mental health challenges that can hinder their ability to integrate into their community. Our licensed and experienced counseling professionals provide in-person counseling to help you heal from the past and move forward.
Our mentorship program is designed to offer you the support you need to navigate the challenges of reintegrating back into your community. We provide you with a safe and supportive space to share your experiences and work with a mentor who understands what you're going through.
We understand that finding a job after returning home can be challenging. That's why we offer job training and placement services to enroll in a technical or academic program and connect you with employment opportunities that match your skills and interests.
Our partners are the backbone of our organization, allowing us to provide the necessary resources and support for returning citizens to succeed. By building a strong community of partners, your donations can help returning citizens find a new path forward by providing job training, mentoring, and counseling services. If you want to be a part of this amazing organization and be a part of the solution, we welcome your donation. If you wish to donate or get involved, please contact us directly for more information.
